Adidas Half Shells Chicago Edition

Condition: brand new in original box
White leather uppers, trademark adidas three stripes in red, white and black with 'Chicago' on the centre stripe. Chicago 'Wrigley Fields' graphic to rear of the stripes. Black synthetic midsole, with red outersole. The "half-shell" toe is derived from the shell toe of the Superstar. Legend has is that US pro basketball players used to cut the top part of the shell toe off to aid flexibility and adidas responded by producing the half-shell to cater for that market. Whether this is true or not, the Half Shell makes a great alternative to the traditional superstar look and this very hard to find new issue from Adidas Originals Cities series is worth more than a passing look.
